About the Attorney

Raised in Taunton. Practicing in Taunton.

Richard A. Nunes grew up in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School in 1973. He earned his B.A. from Bridgewater State College and in 1978 went to work for the Massachusetts House of Representatives, eventually serving as House Staff Director of the Committee on Insurance.

While working full-time, he earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New England School of Law in 1985. He was admitted to practice in Massachusetts that year and in the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts in 1986.

He began his career at Aleixo, Miles, Murray & Rounds, P.C., then opened his own practice in 1995. Today he handles personal injury, workers' compensation and criminal defense cases, with experience in landlord-tenant, wills, health care proxies, estates and probate matters.
